Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect any information you give us when you use this website.

Last updated: 29 July 2026 · Version 2.0

This policy explains how Safiery Pty Ltd (ABN 87 624 588 807) handles personal information when you use this storefront, create an account, place an order, ask the assistant a question, or submit a sales, support or warranty request. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • identity and contact details, including your name, email, phone number, company and account identifier;
  • order, billing, delivery and transaction details, including products purchased, the delivery address (including country) you enter to estimate freight, and Stripe payment identifiers or status;
  • trade-account information, including your customer tier and the prices resolved for your account;
  • sales, support, Gold Support and warranty information you submit, including invoice numbers, serial numbers, product details, fault descriptions, messages and preferred contact times;
  • messages you send to the Safiery assistant, and any contact details you ask it to pass to our team; and
  • technical information normally produced when using an online service, such as IP address, request logs, device and browser information, and security events.

We ask you not to include health information, payment-card numbers, passwords or other sensitive information in free-text fields or assistant messages. We do not need it, and we do not ask for it.

How we use information

  • to create and administer your account and provide account-specific pricing;
  • to process payment, fulfil orders, quote and arrange freight, and issue transaction records;
  • to answer enquiries and administer quotes, support, subscriptions, returns and warranty claims;
  • to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the storefront and our products and services;
  • to meet accounting, tax, consumer-law, product-safety, fraud-prevention and other legal obligations; and
  • to send marketing communications where you have asked us to, or where the law otherwise permits it.

Payments

Checkout and subscription payments are hosted by Stripe. Card details are entered into Stripe's own service and never reach this storefront or any Safiery system. Stripe returns transaction identifiers, payment status and the order details we need to fulfil your purchase. Stripe's own privacy terms also apply to its processing.

Cookies and browser storage

We set one cookie: a host-only, Secure, HttpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and there are no third-party trackers on this site. Your browser also stores your cart, a limited display profile, an account-price cache and a last-good news cache so those features work across pages. None of it contains card details. Clearing site data signs you out and removes these items; blocking the session cookie prevents account and Gold Support features from working.

Service providers and overseas disclosure

We disclose personal information to service providers only as needed to run the storefront:

  • Netlify — website hosting and serverless processing (United States);
  • Stripe — payments, subscriptions and billing;
  • Safiery's Quasar ERP — accounts, products, orders, quotes, support, warranty and service workflows, hosted on Netlify with a Neon PostgreSQL database;
  • Anthropic — generates the assistant's replies (United States);
  • SurveyMonkey (Wufoo) — hosts some older enquiry forms linked from our guides;
  • YouTube — serves embedded video when you play one; and
  • Komoot — provides address search suggestions as you type a delivery address, to help you enter it faster (Germany); manual entry is always available.

Some of these providers process information outside Australia, including in the United States and Germany, under their own security and privacy terms. Webfonts are served from this site, not from a third party.

Assistant conversations

Messages you send to the assistant are transmitted to Anthropic to generate a reply. We do not store the conversation on our servers, and it is not kept in your browser after you reload the page. If you ask the assistant to pass an enquiry to our team, the contact details and summary are recorded in our ERP. Please don't include passwords, card numbers, health information or other sensitive information in assistant messages.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it, then delete or de-identify it. In summary:

  • Orders, invoices and tax records — 7 years, as Australian tax law requires;
  • Warranty and RMA records — the warranty period plus 2 years, so we can honour and evidence a claim;
  • Support and Gold Support tickets — 3 years;
  • Sales enquiries and quotes that do not convert — 2 years;
  • Account records — while your account is active, then 2 years; and
  • Server and security logs — short-term only, per our hosting provider's retention.

We may keep information longer where a law, an unresolved dispute, a safety issue or a fraud investigation requires it.

Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, restricted access, a hosted payment process that keeps card data out of our systems, and a browser security policy that limits what code can run on this site. No online service can promise absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breach scheme requires.

Access, correction, marketing and complaints

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or opt out of marketing at any time. Email privacy@safiery.com. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. Some information we must keep — tax records, for example — and we will tell you if that applies.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information or a privacy request, tell us first so we can try to fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent or lease personal information. Apart from the service providers listed above, we disclose it only where the law requires or permits it, to protect our customers or systems, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of our business.

Links and changes

Other websites linked from this storefront have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them. We update this policy when our services or handling practices change; the current version and its date always appear at the top of this page.
